Eligibility for Short-Term Stays
To book a short-term stay at the IHEID residences, you must meet specific eligibility status, please refer to the list below:
Student rate:
• IHEID Students ( (MA, PhD, summer program, joint programs, exchange)
• UNIGE/ HES-SO students
External rate:
• IHEID/ UNIGE/ HES-SO residents'families *
• IHEID Visiting fellow, Post Doc *
• IHEID Alumni
• IHEID Conference participant
• IHEID Invited professor / Consultant / Speaker *
• IHEID Professor / Professor assistant *
• IHEID Staff member *
• BCC Program and other Graduate Institute tenants (at Maison de la Paix)
• IO / NGO (in Geneva) employee, intern, consultant, fellow, conference participant
• Permanent Missions employee, intern, consultant, fellow, conference participant
*You are entitled to benefit from a 15% internal discount applicable on the room rate (only for Barton)
To confirm your reservation, you are required to provide:
• A valid employment/internship contract or a current student certificate.
• A copy of your passport.
Your reservation is subject to verification of your eligibility status. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if the provided documentation does not meet our requirements.
Rates for Short-Term Stays
The rates for short stay are From CHF 135 per night for the external rate and From CHF 100 per night for the student rate (VAT included).
Additionally, a City Tax of CHF 4.25 per person, per night, will apply.
If your stay exceeds two weeks, please contact us to explore the possibility of a monthly rate.
These dates are for reference only and will not automatically create a booking for you - if you are eligible to book a short stay room, you will be able to make a booking at a later stage in the process.
